Prolific British inventor, Arthur Paul
Pedrick patented his first invention in 1962 and patented a total of 161
inventions. Pedrick, a former patent office employee, never sold any of his
inventions and all of them could be considered wacky patents including a
device that was intended to fling giant snowballs from Antarctica to the
world's deserts for irrigation purposes.

Pedrick @ Patently Absurd
Arthur Paul Pedrick patented the oddest inventions including: a
horse-powered car, a revolving restaurant combination television tower, a
mooring mast for airships, a transparent meditation globe, and a method of piping
snow from Antarctica to irrigate the world's deserts. Enough for the folks at
Patently Absurd to dedicate a whole page to Arthur Paul Pedrick.
